Position Summary

The Multi Modality Technologist works under the supervision of the Radiology Sr. Tech/Technical Manager, or designee and is responsible for performing a combination of multiple modality imaging in the areas of Interventional Radiology, MRI, X-Ray, CT, Nuclear Medicine, and OR C-Arm guided procedures (based on their specialties). The role of the Advanced Imaging Technologist is to support operational needs and logistics and maintains quality and throughput to achieve the highest level of clinical quality and patient care possible. The Advanced Imaging Technologist is required to work in at least two advanced modalities 50% of the time.

Education & Experience Requirements 

• The Radiologic Technologist must be a graduate of an allied health education and accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.  

• New York State DOH license is required.
• New York State Contrast Media Injection license is required.
• Advanced ARRT certification required (CT, IR, MRI, MRSO, ARDMS or NMTCB)
• Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet standards set forth by governing bodies. Current standards are 24 ECE credits over a two-year period.
• BLS through the (AHA) American Heart Association is required.
• Radiation dose pledge completed for both Image Wisely/Image Gently through the American College of Radiology (ACR), either during the orientation period or before the end of the probationary period.
