Responsibilities
Pharmacy technicians lead the process of filling and managing prescription orders. The Pharmacy technician manages inventory, customer inquiries, and physician relationships. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Optimize pharmacy software and processes
- Counsel and provide drug-related information for a prescription to customers
- Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities
- Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals
