Balboa Park is an excellent place to start exploring San Diego. This 1,200 acre park is a cultural institution in the city, and is home to 17 museums, several performing arts spaces, beautiful gardens, hiking trails, and more. Whether you love nature, art, architecture, outdoor recreation, or you’re looking for a place to bring the whole family, Balboa Park is a must-see.

If you’re an art lover, Cedros Avenue Design District is the place for you. This small neighborhood Solana Beach is full of independent boutiques, art galleries, and crafts stores. According to Conde Nast Traveler, there are over 85 shops packed into a three-block area, making this location perfect for an afternoon stroll.
