Gifted Healthcare’s Panel Discussion on Travel Nursing in 2021

As we transition into a post-COVID world, the healthcare and travel nursing spaces are changing rapidly. Last week, NurseFly hosted a live panel discussion on travel nursing with Gifted Healthcare titled, “Post-COVID Travel Nursing: Planning for 2021.”

NurseFly's Matt McCollough hosted Gifted's Russ Johnson, BSN, RN, and Mullady Voelker to discuss travel nursing in the post-COVID world. Travel nurse Rachel Norton, BSN, RN also joined to provide her unique travel nursing perspective and experience. Russ, Rachel, and Mullady shared industry insight as well as tips on nursing contracts, clinical settings, health and wellness, and how to plan ahead to find great travel nursing assignments in 2021.

Mullady Voelker | President of Growth & Strategy

Mullady Voelker is President of Growth & Strategy at Gifted Healthcare. Voelker drives Gifted’s strategic expansion into new markets and service lines, and oversees marketing and public relations efforts. Prior to joining Gifted, Voelker was a social worker who specialized in treating families with PTSD and psychological trauma from Hurricane Katrina, which has informed her efforts leading Gifted Healthcare’s clinicians and teammates through the pandemic.

Russ Johnson, BSN, RN | Chief Clinical Officer in LTAC

Russ Johnson started his nursing career in the MICU at Baptist Health in Little Rock, AR.  After two years of working the floor, he launched R&D Medical Staffing. He grew the company for six years before opening Cardiac Staffing, which focused on LTAC travel staffing around the country. Russ held many titles in the LTAC space from floor nurse to interim CNO positions. Five years ago, Russ joined Gifted Healthcare as their Chief Clinical Officer and launched the agency's LTAC division. Russ is a staunch nurse advocate and applies his expertise to help perfectly match nurses with facilities where they can advance their nursing careers and thrive.
