Responsibilities
Auditory Impairment Teachers observe, consult, and assist in accommodating students with varying degrees of hearing impairment. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in the development of Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs)
- Consult in matters pertaining to classroom acoustics, assistive listening systems, hearing aids, communication, and psycho-social effects of hearing loss
- Comply with all Board of Education policies, administrative regulations, Public Education Department guidelines and local, state and federal laws
- Master’s degree
