Gifted Nurses Private Care President and Director to speak at Brain Injury Association of Louisiana’s 5th annual conference

NEW ORLEANS, LA – (3/22/12) – The Brain Injury Association of Louisiana (BIALA) kicks off its 5th annual conference today at the Doubletree Hilton in Kenner. Gifted Healthcare expects attendance to exceed last year. In addition to exhibiting during the two-day event, two representatives of the organization will speak before an audience of brain injury and spinal cord injury survivors and their family members. They'll also be speaking to medical professionals, discharge planners, therapists, and state officials.

Mullady Voelker Alford, GSW, co-owner of Gifted Healthcare and President of the company’s Private Care division, will deliver the company’s presentation tomorrow. with Kim Keel, Gifted Healthcare’s Director of Private Care. Alford and Keel’s talk, "Supporting and Educating the Family Unit on Brain and Spinal Cord Injury," is scheduled for 2:30 pm. Gifted Healthcare's private duty nurses and nursing assistants help patients and their families in the transition from hospital discharge to home and offer help with both medical and practical needs.

Social workers can accrue Continuing Education Units by attending the BIALA conference, which runs today, 2pm-6pm, and tomorrow 8:30am-4pm at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton, 2150 Veterans, in Kenner.
